Concrete
The denser the thermal mass material the more effective it is.
Concrete is the ideal material for modulating heat gains in a building’s structure. It acts as a store for both heat and cold regulating the internal temperature of a building.
Concrete can actually reduce the energy consumption, waste and emissions of a building through its thermal mass properties.
Recent early-stage innovations in cement technology have seen the development of a carbon negative cement; rather than contributing to CO2 emissions cement will capture carbon emissions. The new cement uses significantly less CO2 in its
manufacture and then absorbs CO2 as it cures acting as a carbon sink.
