DLR Cycle Shelters 2010 Cycling is a fast, cheap, healthy and sustainable way of getting around. As part of Docklands Light Railway’s policy to encourage people to cycle to and from DLR stations, a cycle strategy was introduced to include a newly designed modular cycle parking shelter by bere:architects to be rolled out across the entire network. The objective is to provide high quality consistent cycle parking at all DLR stations. The shelter is a kit of parts with solar photo voltaic lighting Rodrigues Associates enabled the shelter to have the capability of being built onto raft foundations at any location.
