Tabernacle Street Designer’s Studio 2006 bere:architects enlisted the expertise of Rodrigues Associates in the refurbishment of a historic warehouse interior in Shoreditch, east London. This Theatre Designer’s studio was designed with quality of materials and craftsmanship in mind. The biggest structural challenge was to design a kitchen/ dining area with a 3.3m cantilevered corian table, post-tensioned in both directions vertically, to reduce short-term and long term deflection and prevent resonance of the work-top.
